Description

Prof. Ian Ralston, Emeritus Abercromby Professor of Archaeology (School of History, Classics & Archaeology, University of Edinburgh), will be honoured with the Europa prize for his contribution to European Prehistory. The conference will look at issues explored in Professor Ralston’s work on the European Iron Age and settlement in western temperate Europe. Conference presentations will take place over the whole day (Saturday 15th June), with early career researcher talks alongside invited speaker presentations. Confirmed invited speakers include: Sophie Krausz (Université Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne), Anthony Lefort (INRAP, Institut National de Recherches Archéologiques Préventives) and Pierre-Yves Milcent (Université de Toulouse Jean Jaurès).
