Advocacy

One of our key aims is to help protect Global Prehistory. We will draw attention to issues where we believe Prehistory could be harmed, whether it be physical sites that are at risk through development, museum collections at risk of reduction or closure, or loss of curators, student courses or professional organizations.

Where possible, we will make representation to the relevant organizations and authorities, responding to consultations or writing direct on these issues that threaten to reduce the protection of Prehistory. Our representation will always be within relevant legal and policy frameworks, courteous and positive, but leaving no doubt regarding our advocacy for the value of Prehistory to all members of society.
